Testing

ABKO Labs, LLC is a state licensed Safety Compliance Facility offering state compliant medical marijuana testing.

Cannabinoid Potency

Cannabinoid potency data quantifies levels of plant cannabinoids present in cannabis products.

At ABKO Labs, we check for Δ9-THCA, Δ9-THC, THCV, Δ8-THC, CBDA, CBD, CBDV, CBGA, CBG, CBN, CBL and CBC.

Pesticides

Pesticides are commonly used to protect plants against weeds, fungi, insects or small animals. Pesticides can also damage people’s health.

At ABKO Labs, our testing screens for 59 chemicals.

Heavy Metals

Heavy metals are contaminants that originate from both the manufacturing process and soil contamination in agricultural production. Most consumer products intended for human use, and sold in regulated markets, are required to undergo heavy metals analysis.

At ABKO Labs, we test for Lead, mercury, arsenic and cadmium.

Terpene Analysis

Terpenes are aromatic molecules found in plant resins. There are thousands of terpenes found in the plant kingdom, and more than one hundred compounds found in cannabis alone

At AKBO Labs, we profile for 26 terpenes.

Mycotoxin

Mycotoxins are toxic secondary metabolite produced by organisms of the fungus kingdom and are capable of causing disease and death in both humans and other animals.

At ABKO Labs, we provide afflotixin screening.

Water Activity

Measuring the water activity in a cannabis product is an excellent way to test how susceptible the product is to microbial contamination.

Less than Aw 0.65 for flower and 0.85 for infused products

Moisture Content

A cannabis moisture content test measures the water concentration in a marijuana sample, which is a crucial indicator of the potential activity of microbiological contaminants such as fungi, bacteria, and insects.

No more than 1.5%

Foreign Matter

Foreign materials in cannabis pose a serious health hazard to patients who are using plant products to treat their medical conditions. A simple physical examination under a high-powered microscope helps ensure the cannabis will not exacerbate conditions or pose new health risks.

Less than 5% stems or 2% of other matter

Microbial Screening

Microbial screening safeguards consumer health.

Residual Solvents

Residual solvents are organic volatile chemicals that are used in the manufacturing or extraction process. In cannabis, they are used to extract cannabinoids or terpenes from the plant material. These solvents are often not completely removed by practical manufacturing or extraction processes. Therefore, testing for these chemicals is required in many industries, including cannabis.
